Seniors Captain 2010

I very much look forward to being your captain for 2010 and I would like to say to Tim Boldero thank you Tim for your commitment and effort over the last twelve months.

I am very pleased to announce that Eric Horrell will be vice captain this year. Thanks Eric for taking on the job and I look forward to working with you for the next twelve months.

I need to mention that this is a very important year to maintain an active golf handicap. You only need to play in three qualifying competitions in a twelve month period to keep your handicap active. I hope all the senior members play in many more.

It’s going to be a very exciting year. The extended course and the standard scratch being adjusted. Not to mention the pleasure we will all get playing golf this summer following the recent work on the course. Mike and Mandy certainly need a pat on the back for the work they have done and organised recently. This year is also the clubs 20th Anniversary. I hope we can all give our full support to this.
The charity I will support this year is EACH, East Anglian Children’s Hospices. Located in Norwich, EACH supports families throughout their experience of caring for children with life threatening conditions and complex healthcare needs. I hope to give them some support.

Finally, I hope I can do the job as well as previous captains. I will certainly give it my best shot and I thank the Senior Section for giving me the opportunity.
